The political situation of this book picks right up after the audio drama/script “The Battle of Jedha” and features all of the characters from the adults storyline so far. Particularly in the character interactions. There were several moments in here that felt quintessentially Star Wars, and several moments that also felt quintessentially High Republic. When it comes to writing style, Lydia Kang really understands Star Wars and the High Republic. The adult novels come with the main plot line of the series, really have been excellent. ![]() While phase 2 is not as big as phase 1, it has certainly produced some fantastic books in all the age groups. The High Republic has really hit its stride recently. I released a short story in the dark YA anthology, AMONG THE SHADOWS October 2015. The sequel, CATALYST, released March 2015 (Kathy Dawson Books/Penguin). My YA sci-fi novel, CONTROL, debuted December 2013 (Dial/Penguin). I'm also part of the new anthology, COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES, with Soho Teen coming in 2019! A girl with violence running through her veins meets a boy running away from an abusive home life. I have a nonfiction adult book written with Nate Pederson entitled QUACKERY: A Short History of the Worst Ways to Cure Everything, coming in 2017 (Workman). My adult fiction centers around historical mysteries in New York City, with splashes of forensics, anatomy, apothecary medicine, and chemistry!
